SANT JOSEP

Terra Alta, Spain

The Agrícola Sant Josep winery is located in the Designation of Origin Terra Alta, known for the cultivation of indigenous varieties, especially Garnacha (Blanc and Negre) which are the main basis for their wines. They also use Macabeo, Cariñena and “ull de llebre” varieties, as well as others incorporated in recent years, such as Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin and Muscatel. This combination of varieties, playing with selected mixtures, forms the different wines of Agrícola Sant Josep, each one with its unique characteristics that make it special and valued everywhere.

SANT JOSEP CLOT D'ENCIS ROSAT

This traditionally-produced rosé wine is obtained from a blend based principally on Syrah grapes, a grape with a significant expressiveness. The blend also includes red Grenache, albeit in a lesser proportion. Production starts out from a healthy harvest with a degree of ripening uncommon in a red wine. Both varieties are processed separately. First a short pre-fermentation cold maceration, followed by a fermentation of the must at controlled temperatures between 15 and 17 degrees. The result is a wine of intense pink colour with an extremely varietal aroma and fruity taste. On the palate it is fresh, fruity and full-bodied.
